Giveaway for "The Complete Tightwad Gazette"

Today my dad and I went to several antique malls and thrift stores. I spent most of my time looking for vintage kitchenwares, but when I saw the blue binding of The Complete Tightwad Gazette by Amy Dacyczyn as I walked down the aisle, I swooped in and nabbed it--just so I can give it away!

  1. My Mom had the Hankscraft Humidifier, she used it in my room when I was a little girl.

My grandmother had the tin bread pans, and aluminum measuring spoons. :)

When you think about it, having all those lip balms with only 6 girls at your school is pretty funny. ;)

  2. Hi there! Enjoyed this little scavenger hunt! My Gram Balko had both the alumninum measuring spoons and the aluminum donut maker in the Laura's Last Ditch gallery.

On a related note, I've actually been looking for several years for some really large, dark green, depression glass salt and pepper shakers. These were my great-grandmother's and they sat on my grandmother's stove top her whole adult life. :-)

  9. Ack!. I got to page 11 of your Etsy page and had a huge list then lost my post! Grandma was born in the 20's and mom in the 40's. I was born in the 70's and just started having babies in the 00's. I have tons of hand me down kitchen wares from my grandma and my husband's grandma who we both lost in the late 90's. I use both of their pyrex bowls daily. It's the milk glass with different color outsides (small ones are blue, medium red, large green)

  11. My mother owned the aluminum measuring spoons and the Revereware pots and pans. I have the pots and now and use them daily. Not sure where the spoons ended up.

I would like to win the book so that I can once again see the knight's armor fashioned from pop can tabs!

Ask Becky about her expression and thoughts when I handed her the library copy of TG eleven years ago. Still makes me chuckle!
